Importance of Cross-Promotional Packages

Cross promotion is a form of marketing promotion where customers of one product or service are targeted with promotion of a related product. It helps to "saturate" the market (industry) as well as enables companies e.g. music companies to make a larger profit.
A digipak is a CD package that is detailed and almost seen as a "special edition". The artwork is specific to the artist and genre to promote them and their album.
What you would expect to see on a digipak: 
 Title (album name) image of artists/synergy - name of artist song list (on back panel) record label (on back panel and spine) CD colour scheme that suits genre leaflet inside (album description, acknowledgements, extra information) bar code (back panel) Anti piracy font type (one or two fonts) to suit genre parental advisory (if explicit lyrics)
The image/graphics used must continue over all panels (a connection must be evident). There must be a visual link to our music video product.

A website is an internet page/platform that uses visual images, links and code to promote an artist.
What you would expect to see on an artist's website:
