Evaluation Question 7

lukestimpson00
Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product ?

Looking back at our preliminary task, I believe that the skills that we had picked up along the way really helped us with the final product. Because of the preliminary, we had some experience using premiere pro and a little bit of experience using the cameras. So when completing our final product we had learnt the dos and don'ts when editing and creating a piece of film. We had also learnt how do and sound an writing on the top of our product to give it a professional finish.

As we had more time with our final piece than we did with the preliminary, we could perfect it more and by that time we had got used to using the software's. Our preliminary piece was simple and we didn't use and special editing or add any music or SFX to it.

Comparing the two products together, really shows the difference in skills used and we can see what the final film opening has compared to what the preliminary is lacking. Things like jump cuts, fades and zooms were not included in the basic prelim task. Also adding credits and age certificates to the final product is a big development.

With our final product we filmed in several locations whereas our prelim was just at school. Also camera skills varied in both products because we had learnt many more skills by the time we started to film footage for our film opening
