What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why? (Q3)
In the UK they are four media distributors: EMAP, Bauer,IPC, Conde Naste and Natmag.
The chosen genre for my music magazine would be R&B. In my music magazine I would use artist that presented publicise on the media. I would add artist such as Rihanna, Drake, Nicki Minaj ect.. I would add in a masthead and cover lines. To make my magazine different from other magazine, I would have an app that you are able to download, that links with your magazine, all you do is simply do is answer questions and this would enable you to earn points and this would later make you purchase things. The magazine would also be able to be downloaded online. This would involve more students as most daily activities is done online. It would make it eligible for students and young adults as the magazine would have several of ways of being able to purchase the magazine. 
I decided that my music magazine would be published by IPC media as they haven't published an R&B magazine before, this means more people would be attracted to my music magazine as it something different and new to the field. This might attract IPC publishers as they haven't published a R&B magazine this may lead them into receiving more funds. IPC was founded in 1968 in the UK. The magazines that they publish are very successful this is why i chose IPC as my publishers with an outstanding 130million sales each month.

The branding doesn't link with my music magazine , but the idea that it hasn't published an R&B magazine before, it would stand out amongst other music magazines. IPC publish consumer magazines  and comics.  To help distribute the magazine I would use apps such as facebook to promote my magazine as it use by a wide range of different people. I would use snapchat because there is a update that enables you to promote and shat stories, which could be used to promote my magazine. Down below is some of the magazine IPC has published.
Stores
I decided to sell my magazine in international supermarkets and bookstores, such as Tesco, Asda,selfridges and Whsmith the reason I decided to distribute my magazine in these store as these are stores that are used for things such as food shopping, this means that people are likely to attract the right people, as these store are well known.  Tesco has over 3000 stores, WHSmith has over 1000 stores, Asda has over 500 stores. All the store chosen are huge stores and are known by many people, this mean magazine would be seen and bought by many people.
IPC would be a good choice for my magazine replay as they have been up and running and successful for more than 60 years.  They have published a wide range of magazine, and because they have been running for more than 60 years it means that they are very experienced in the business. They would be beneficial for my magazine as they have a wide range of target audience for each individual magazine they have published, they would know what would suit and attract different audiences,  IPC uses different platforms when it comes to publishing their magazine, like printing,  social media, phone devices, video and digital. As my target audience is between 16 to 25 they are likely to use social media this means that I could get my magazine across easier, as nowadays many don't purchase from the shops, they prefer doing businesses online. My magazine would available for anyone who wants a printed copy or wants to read it online.
