Which song have I chosen to use in my music video?
•
I have chosen to use the Olly Murs track ‘I’m OK’ from his 2011 album ‘In Case You Didn’t
Know’.
•
What is the song about?
•
‘I’m OK’ is about a relationship of Olly’s that ends without any warning. Although it
ended suddenly, Olly spends the song reflecting on the relationship and that he will have
a positive future without his ex.
•
What is the planned narrative of the video?
•
The narrative that I am planning for the video is about a person going through their day
to day life after a break up and things around them – e.g. pictures, possessions etc. –
reminding them of their ex partner. In the video, when the person is reminded of their
ex, a flashback to a memory involving a picture or possession will take place. The video
will end with the person realising that they are better off without their ex in their life.

Where will the filming of the video take place?
•
I am planning to film the video at my brother’s house. I believe this will be a suitable
place to film as the video depicts someone going through their day to day life.
•
The flashbacks will be filmed at my brother’s house and at places such as a park where
the couple’s happier times will be depicted.

Which costumes will be featured in the music video?
•
The first costume to be featured will be some pyjamas that the male actor will be
wearing when he firsts wakes up at the start of the video. The second costume that
will be featured predominantly is a casual outfit that the actor will be wearing for
the majority of the video.

In flashbacks of the main character’s past relationship, the ex will be wearing
outfits that correspond to the different locations of the flashbacks, just like the
main character.

Who will feature in the music video?
•
Although I have not made a definite decision about who will feature in the video,
the most likely people to be in the music video are my brother and his girlfriend, as
I am planning to film at their house.

Which props will feature in the video?
•
The props that will feature in the video mainly are possessions that belong to the ex
-girlfriend and photos of the ex-couple in their happier times. The main character
will look at both of these a lot throughout the video and these will
e
voke flashbacks.
