Evaluation question 1
In what ways does your music video, CD Digipack and Music Magazine Advertisement use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real music videos, CD Digipacks and Music Magazine Advertisments?
Goodwin's 6 theories on music video's
there are 6 features to a music video:
-Music Videos demonstrate genre characteristics for example sychronised singing and dancing in pop music.
-There is a relationship between lyrics and visuals this can be illustrative, amplifying or contradicting.
-Relationship between music and visuals. The tone and atmosphere of the music reflect in the visuals.
 - The demands of the record label will ensure that the artist is featured in the music video.
 - There is frequently reference to notion of looking (screens within screens, mirrors etc.)
 - voyeuristic treatment of the female body. There are often intertextual references to films, TV programmes etc
Codes are used to get a message across to the targeted audience  fpr example using black,  leather, studded clothing for rock music. This is shown in music videos strictly on the mise-en-scene, the ligting and action within the video. All of these different elements are all relevent and related to the specific genre and is used to portray a message across to the audience.
Codes
Idea's
This is where i got my idea's to use lyrics within the video to portray a message to the audience, the lyrics boards were used to show certain emotions of the singer and show it to the audience.
Conventions and codes of cd digipacks and music magazine advertisements
BY LOOKING AT REAL TEXTS I AM ABLE TO SEE THAT ON THE FRONT OF MUSIC CD DIGIPACKS THEY HAVE THE NAME OF THE ARTIST AND A IMAGE RELATING TO IT FOR EXAMPLE A PICTURE OF THE ARTIST
cd digipack
Some of the conventions of a cd pack are as follows:
- The is a track list in small print on the back design along with the name of the producer, record label with an image that wraps around it
- The name of the artist on the front cover and on the spine of the pack.
- There must also be a bar code on the pack to show

To ensure that i have kept the conventions i used a general greyscale colour scheme to fit in with the gloomy rock genre of the band, i also darkened the pictures to fir within the conventions of a rock digipack. this is comparible to hollywood undeads usual digipacks
Music magazine advertisment
Conventions i used for my MMA is the use of the artist name in big writing on the image, along with a centre fit image as a apart of the MMA. In addition to this i used a dark image and background in accordance to the codes and conventions used in MMA's. For example because this band is rock the general code is to have a large quantity of contrast black and grey shades to show an emotionless and dark feeling to the MMA which will attract the attention of the targeted audience. The typography of the MMA was bold and white as a contrat over the dark image.
