This is our project about the parts of the cell and how we compared those parts to areas in Disney world

A cell is the smallest structure and function of organisms that can be prokaryotic and eukaryotic.

prokaryotic vs eukayotic

  Something you probably didn't know about prokaryotic cells was that they were on earth before eukaryotic cells which came from evolution over time.

Prokaryotic cells are found in bacteria and have vacuoles, a cell wall, cytoskeleton, flagella, vesicles, and ribosomes.

Eukaryotic cells on the other hand are found in plants and animals and contain a nucleus, lysosomes, microtubules, endoplasmic reticulum, mitochondria, cytoskeleton, ribosomes, Golgi apparatus, vesicles, chloroplast, flagella, vacuoles, and a cell wall.

the nucleus
We compared the nucleus of a cell to the magic kingdom of Disney world .

Nucleus

The nucleus is known as the "control center" of the cell making it the main part of the cell. We chose to make the magic kingdom the nucleus becuase its like the main attraction when you go to Disney world. Because the nucleus is made up of mostly DNA and RNA which are the genes that you inherit that basically tell you what to do, how to react, and keep everything organized and flowing smoothly. The magic kingdom shows this because its what keep the people coming to Disney world and its where you find most of what your looking for when you go to Disney world

 

Plasma membrane
The plasma membrane is the part of the cell that keeps the cell apart from its environment
To represent the plasma membrane we choose the inner boundary of Disney world because that what separates Disney from the rest of the world. 
CELL WALL/RIBOSOMES
The cell wall is what lays outside of the plasma membrane which is like the first layer of protection to cell. The outer layer of Disney world which is composed of mainly forest serves as that first layer of protection.
Ribosomes are the protein builders of the cell which are mostly free flowing in the cytoplasm.Characters represent ribosomes because they are able to move freely in the perimeter of Disney world instead of enclosed within a certain area and they build up peoples spirit.
chloroplast
Chloroplast deals with photosynthesis and light being transfered as energy into a cell. we choose to use the animal kingdom to represent this because its where most of the animal life is and where most photosynthesis takes place.
endoplasmic reticulum
This is where protein molecules are transferred in sacs and transported into synthesized protein. For the disney example we used workers cause they take information and transfer it to visitors.
