The audience feedback also informed us that they liked the way we had introduced all of our characters so that they were aware of who there were throughout the trailer and were not just seen as random people. They also liked the way we decided to mix up to genres together, teen comedy and horror. This was because it made it different to other horror films and made it less predictable. To make sure this was effective we had to make sure that the introduction was set in the appropriate setting. I learnt from the audience feedback that they liked the way we used a setting with a soft pink background in a girly bedroom for the opening scene which is the ‘teen comedy’ scene and how the rest of the film was set in a dark dull setting when the horror genre became clear. I learnt from my audience feedback to improve my trailer I needed to cut it down by 20 seconds. To do this I cut down scenes in the middle of my trailer including the boot scene, knife scene, pushing the victim scene and the hair-pulling scene. This is because these are the longest scenes and the audience felt that they could lose interest if the were not shortened and they would create more tension if they were faster.
