Who does Alternative Rock Appeal to?
The target audience for alternative rock is 16-25 year olds and generally appeals to males. This could be due to the fact that many alternative rock artists are male and though there is a good female following, the genre is mostly dominated by men. The primary audience are predominately white however alternative rock isn't exclusively for white people so can also appeal to a secondary audience of different ethnicities.
