How effective is the

How effective is the combination of my main product and ancillary texts?
The combination of my trailer and ancillary tasks were very effective, as they all included the same imagery. I selected the same kind of shots to use on all of my tasks. I used the mid shot where the robot is by himself, looking into the camera, and his eyes are lit up blue. This is suggest to the audience that he is a robot, connoting the genre of sci-fi. By using the shame shot, my target audience are able to link all of the texts together, realising that they are of the same product. However two of the shots are lighter, whereas the other one is darker. This is to show the different genre's and moods within the film. The audience are therefore able to see the  kind of film it will be. They can also see that this is the main character. Therefore whenever they see the main character they will think of the film. The imagery will remind them of the film, as I  have created a distinctive brand identity. As the shots are all very similar and don't give away much information, the  audience will be engaged to find out more about the film.

The distinctive glowing eyes, and the actor combines the products together in a recognisable way. It creates a brand identity, that will be recognisable across many media platforms. The blue eyes signifiy that the character is a robot, the continuity of blue eyes creates a distinctive image.  The colour blue that I have used on the text matches with the shade of blue in the eyes of the main character, linking all of the tasks together. I tried to make the fonts the same across all media platforms, in order to create a product that is recognisable. The text suggests that it is of the sci-fi genre because of the colours that are often associated with the genre. However I couldn't use the same font on the magazine front cover as I had to conform to the font type of the magazine. Regardless of the font type, the familiar imagery of the  blue eyes will trigger the audiences memory about the film.
The two most involved characters in my products were the main protagonist and the villain. In my trailer the villain is always shown chasing after the protagonist. Therefore on my poster I took a side shot of the villain and merged it with the face of the protagonist. This represented how the villain is always looking out for the robot. As well as the contrast within the film between good and evil. I didn't show the two characters on the magazine as I wanted to focus on the main character.  Otherwise the magazine would have been too crowded, and I would of had to focus on more than one or two characters on the magazine. The audience would be able to recognise the main character through my main product and the ancillary tasks, as my target audience are an intellectual audience.
