What they hunt and eat
The people of the Eastern Woodlands were really good hunters. They hunted white tailed deer, raccoon, bear, squirrel, beaver, moose, seal, caribou, and whale. They grew corn, beans, and squash. They collected edible plants.
Weapons
Most weapons that the Eastern Woodlands Hunters used were made of wood or bark. For hunting larger animals they used bows and arrows, and for smaller animals they used traps, snares, and deadfalls. For fishing, they used hooks, weirs, Leicester, and nets. All of these tools were made from forest materials.
CLothing
They made clothing out of deerskin that kept them warm during winters. Men wore shirts and leggings. Women wore dresses. There shoes were moccasins.
The Eastern Woodland Indians had 1 or 2 chiefs for each council. If they had two one would be on the matters of war and the other on the matters of peace. Everyone had a part in their council.
