One Day was made in 2011 and stars Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess. It is a romance drama about how a young couple live for 18 years together and apart.
№9: The Host
2013 American romantic science fiction thriller film adapted from Stephenie Meyer's novel of the same name. It's about an alien invasion that takes over human's bodies as a 'host' (hence the name) but with part of the human's personality still in there. However the alien falls in love with one guy and the human falls inlove with another even though they're both still in the same body. (You'll understand if you watch it).
№8: Stepford Wives
Social satire. Science-fiction about the men of one village (Stepford) building robotic wives. Made in 2004.
If I Stay (2014) is a romance drama about a boy and a girl's relationship but in flashbacks from her in a coma after she's been in a car crash where her brother, mother and father have all died.

Begin Again (2013) is about the production of an album filmed and reordered on streets of America whilst the girl is going through a messy break up with Dave (Adam Levine).

Like Crazy (2011) is a romance about a couple and how they deal with becoming a long-distance relationship.
They have many break ups and get back together many times.

The Fault in Our Stars (2014) is a romance drama about two cancer patents with lots of deep quotes and metaphors with a little bit of death at the end.
№3: mean girls
Means Girls (2004) is about 3 'mean girls' (the plastics) and the new girl who joins their 'pack' and rejects her original friends to look 'cool'. Eventually she realises how silly she was and then gets revenge on the 'plastics'.
