Here is what my contents page looks like, practically finished. It is very similar to my original flat plan design with only minor tweaks and changes. It came out how I wanted it to and looks attractive and professional.
The layout of my contents page is very neat and in my opinion, looks appealing. I decided to have it in an orderly fashion, with the pictures on one side with the contents page on the other, as I felt it looked more eye catching, and from magazines I have seen that do this I have liked best.
Here is what my flat plan looked like. I kept a lot of it the same, with only minor changes such as making the decision to not have the arrow between the two bottom pictures, as well as the 'Also' graphic I would have.
The reason I chose to do this is because I think it looked nicer the way it was. It would have looked to cluttered if I had kept it I think, so I am glad I made the decisions I did. The layout overall of my contents stayed pretty much the same overall.
Three Main Changes
I changed the page numbers graphics on the photos to be without the circle around it.
I decided against having the arrow to seperate the pictures as it looked too much, considering I already had arrow graphics on it.
I decided against having a graphic underneath the picture due to it looking too cluttered and distracting from other things.
Here is my flat plan and my contents page together. As you can see, there have been little changes to the layout and it came out how I had hoped it would look. The text and content listed stayed very similar to what I had planned, with only some changes to titles and layouts.
