Front page
The Wombats home page is very simplistic and follows a basic colour scheme of navy and peach, which is linked to a theme of their new album.
At the top is the band name and new album as that is their main priority (advertising the new album).
The front page acts as an advertisement for their new album, hence the photographs of the album artwork amongst prices and hyperlinks to websites such as iTunes, so fans can purchase the new album.
There are options to buy the album in different formats such as mp3, CD and Vinyl.
You aren't put forward to the actual website until you have clicked 'Enter Website'. This link then sends you to their actual website, which has more links about the band. Again, the theme is simplistic but dark.
News page
Within the links, the 'News' page includes updates surrounding the group's tour, albums and activities. 'News' focuses on upcoming events as well, which will allow fans to know what they are up to.
The 'music' page includes their album tracks, which may tempt fans or even new listeners to buy the album.
Music Page
Front page

Ratboy's front page comes across quite creative. It has the use of hand-drawn headings and icons, which match the overall theme.

The website itself is interactive, as the person who is viewing the site can control the character (Ratboy) by clicking on the screen. By clicking the menu titles at the bottom, the character runs to the area. You then click the link and it takes you to the page you want.

Scrapbook Page

The Scrapbook page includes a range of artistic/creative pages filled with photographs of the band, drawings, opinions and social media interactions. Arty/creative themes are stereotypically common for indie artists, which is shown in my research within indie digipaks and album covers, hence why this web page is bright and quirky, which may represent their music.

Pink is the background colour throughout the whole website. The colour pink is often associated with femininity, which could be a reason for their colour choice. Indie is all about being individual and unique, therefor, choosing a feminine colour could represent this.

Front page
Similar to The Wombats home page, the theme is dark and simple. Another common stereotype of indie bands is to have videos in black and white, which is why indie websites remain black and white with little use of colour. The dark tones give off  mysterious connotations, which again makes the band look different.
The font choice is present throughout and all remain in capital letters. This could be to stand out on the black background and it could just be to emphasise the simplistic feel to it.
The banner (which is currently showing a photograph of the band), dissolves into other photographs and advertisements involving the band, including tour dates and releases. Continuously creating new images for the viewers will make sure they don't lose interest and they may come across something they are interested in.
About Page
Many of artist's websites include an 'about' page, which give fans an insight to the band's personal lives, often about how they became what they are and what inspired them to create music. About me pages can often tell stories, which make fans feel like they know the band members in reality, which allows them to link more with their music and feelings.
Community Page

Not many band websites include a community page. This one has a page dedicated to the community of fans, which includes fan art, contests and chat forums. Allowing comments lets fans communicate and share each others passion for the band.
