Cerebral Palsy affects the ability to move and maintain balance and/or posture. Cerebral Palsy is caused by brain damage or abnormal brain development before or sometime after birth. Cerebral Palsy is PERMANENT and not PROGRESSIVE, it all happens at once not in steps. There is no cure but can be helped with treatment such as a disability specialist or speech therapist. There are four different types of Cerebral Palsy Monoplegia, Hemiplegia, Diplegia, and Quadriplegia. Marshall has Quadriplegia.
