To answer this question I had to do some independent research into already existing TV news shows such as BBC Midlands Today, ITV News Central and Channel 4 News.
.My research informed me that the answers to my first question that regarded age are fairly normal as the majority of people who view other TV news shows are also over the age of 30.
.The second question that I looked at that asked about the amount of stories that a 5 minute news segment should have and after using the social media outlet YouTube I was able to look at the existing news segments and once again the answers that my questionnaire gave me matched that of existing news segments as most of the ones that I looked at also had either 2 or 3 news stories.
.The next question that I looked into was a little harder to make parallels between my answers and existing news broadcasts as the gender of the anchors would be different, sometimes there would be 1 male or 2 males or 1 male and 1 female and so on so, I will however try to incorporate this research into my own news broadcast.
.My final question asked the question of how often the taker of the questionnaire watch the news so in order to find out about this on the wider scale of existing news shows I had to look at the viewer retention and how often the audience came back to that channel and my findings were that more often than not the viewers would only return to the channel to view the news around 2 times a week.
