Tropical Rainforest Biome
      By Kristen Belue
All life in the rainforest is
CONNECTED...
Species adapt to each other!
The rainforest contains over half the species in the world- its warm and has lots of precipitation, receiving as much as 260 inches a year. These conditions are perfect for life to flourish. In the rainforest, organisms are reliant on each other, creating a complicated web of interconnections within the ecosystem. The trees need the monkeys and the Macaws couldn't make it without the ants' hard work.
Humans are cutting down trees and illegally trading animals and putting a huge amount of stress on the ecosystem. Because the organisms are dependent on each other, the loss of one species effects many others. We are causing extinction at a rate unheard of in any other time in history.
This connection makes it very fragile...
Deforestation's impact.....
