How did you attract/address your audience?
Addressing the audience.
The target audience for our film is young adult females around the ages of 16+. Because we were all young adult females in the group we wanted to show in our opening different themes that we had all gone through such as teenage angst, hope and ambition and bullies.
One major theme we chose to portray was sibling rivalry, which inspired the title of our film Bullied. We also incorporated the theme of drugs and alcohol into the storyline of the sister as they are common things for young adults to explore.
Platforms
Our first audience screening was at Screen on the Green in Islington to an audience of 140 young adults of both genders. We also had a screening in our class to about 30 young adults of both genders.
Our film had a very positive response, although it was mostly girls who said they would watch our film because the cast was all female whereas some of the boys felt that they would find the film difficult to relate to, because it was an all female cast.
We will also be hosting our film opening on Vimeo to reach a wider audience
