Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
Camera techniques and differences
This is an over the shoulder shot which is used incorrectly because as we can see, there is too much head space.
This is a track shot from my preliminary, this is a fairly accurate track shot in comparison to my opening.
This is another track shot from my opening. Like wise, this camera movement is also successful because as we can see, there isn't much head-space inbetween the shot
This is a long shot with head-space however, this doesn't affect the shot because it's still accurate due to the
This is a match shot in my opening, correctly used! A shot of her opening the door and then a shot of her in the room.
Editing differences
The difference between the editing in both of my preliminary and opening is significantly different from each other. I don't like the editing of names on my preliminary task because it's really unproffesional unlike the opening.
The editing on my preliminary task is unprofessional and simple.
Sound
There is no type of sound in the preliminary task which makes the whole preliminary appear unprofessional and makes me seem amateur. There isn't any Foley sound etc. which is the reason why the preliminary isn't efficent and interesting.
The sound in my opening is significantly used in a better way because I've used a variety of; Foley Sounds, music, Diegetic sounds, Synchronous sounds and Sound bridges.
Mis-en-scene
This is a mis-en-scene of the preliminary task. The Mis-en-scene isn't used accurate because Sammy is meant to be a worker however, she's wearig sporty cloths which doesn't suggest that she's serious and shows that the Mis-en-scene doesn't match my intentions.
The Mis-en-scene is effectively used in my opening film because Titilope is supposed to represent a sporty character, the cloths she's wearing portray her character well.
The props (card) I've used as you can see doesn't match the character nationality wise. The card shows my friend's name and her picture which does not match!
In my opening, we've used a key to open the door which is absolutely fine and correctly used because it makes sense. A key opening a door.
 Lighting & Focus
Lastly, the lighting on both screen shots from the Premilany and my Opening are different from each other in terms of lighting and focus. The Lighting and the Focal setting on the Prelimary task is a disaster because the image is significantly dark and blurry which doesn't make a good scene. Whereas, in my Opening film the lighting is natural and bright and suits with the urban environment we've tried to create. The image appears quite sharp and clear also.
The 180 degree rule
What is a 180 degree rule?
This image helps explain the 180 degree rue. To abide by this rule the camera cannot go over the line, unless it shows the transition over the line. Breaing this rule would mean the camera goes from one side of the line to the other with no show of the transition.
This is a clip where the rule is broken effectively. it makes the viewer feel uneasy and lost. The use of the 180 degree rule break catches the viewer off gaurd as it isn't a filming technique used often in normal scenarios. This also applies with the break of the 30 degree rule and the use of both of these really helps the audience gets the anger coming from the characters. We've tried to use this rule often within my opening film  in order to be successful.
Summing up!
To sum up everything I've learnt throughout Filming, editing and my jurney throughout AS Media, I've presented that I've learnt so many great tips and all the essential criteria to make a successful low-budget film opening. I've had loads of fun in the making of; my film opening, Mean girls swede and the Preliminary I've produced long ago. Looking back at the mistakes, reassures me that I've significantly improved and grown a lot since Sseptmeber when I've started As Media. In the future, I hope to develop the skills I've learnt so far and take it further on to A2 Media.
